ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for solutions of quality problems.
• Drives continuous quality improvement.
• Acts as the Quality representative of the Company.
• Plan and oversee the analysis, inspection, design, and test to assure the quality of all products and/or components.
• Plant-wide support of electronics manufacturing and assisting electronics engineering with quality issue resolution.
• Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service. Investigate, assist, and correct customer issues and complaints relating to quality.
• Authority to stop production if customer specifications are not being met.
• Ensure that quality related activities are carried out efficiently.
• Give approval (gate process meetings) for start of production of new products, after making sure that all processes are capable and documented.
• Supervise workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure high productivity and high technical integrity.
• Recommend cost savings measures for designs and processes.
• Work with engineering and advanced manufacturing groups on prototype builds and testing.
• Formulate, document and maintain quality control standards and on-going quality control objectives.
• Develop work instructions to effectively monitor and control the quality at the assembly level.
• Create, document, and initiate criteria, methods, and standards for inspection, testing, and evaluation at the assembly level. (gauging, test equipment, error proofing)
• Keep the management team abreast of significant issues or developments identified during quality activities and ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken to improve/correct the situation.
• Responsible for monitoring and measuring equipment (calibration) used to ensure conformity of product to determined requirements.
• Assume an active role in quality management teams within the organization.
• Design, develop, and implement quality control training programs.
• Follows established policies and observes safety and security procedures.
• Other duties as may be assigned.
