Cable Assembler Level 2/Level 3 - Manufacturing
We are looking for a skilled Assembler with Electro-Mechanical and Wire Harnessing knowledge to connect parts into more complex components in a manufacturing environment. You will ensure all parts fit correctly and are suitable for the final product. You will use your hands or machines to do the job with greater precision. You must have good technical knowledge and possess great manual dexterity. Ability to read instructions represented in manuals, drawings, schematics etc. and follow them with precision is extremely important.
Responsibilities

Electro-Mechanical and Wire Harness assembly

Ability to read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures

Assemble 1st time build product using Customer supplied specifications

Assist with operator set-ups and tooling set-ups

Responsible for self-verification of quality and traveler sign off

Ability to operate at a minimum of 90% efficiency while maintaining acceptable quality standards

Ability to take precision measurements to ensure perfect fit of components

Ability to maintain equipment in good condition

Ability to keep records of production quantities and time

Ability to report on issues, malfunction or defective parts
Technical Knowledge & Skills
-
Proven experience as an assembler
-
Capability to completely assemble modules and sub-assemblies
-
Ability to interpret Blue Prints, Schematics and Drawings

Required to perform point to point wiring, proper wiring techniques including harnessing, terminations and connectors

Ability to properly use torque drives, tools (e.g. clamps) and machines (e.g. presses)

Good understanding of quality control principles

Good communication skills (verbal and written)

Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition
-
Understand basic MRP requirements including schedules, BOMs and Routings
Computer Skills

Basic keyboard data entry
Job Related Skills/Training Preferred

IPC-A-620 Certification
-
ESD Certification
-
Injection Molding a plus
Physical Demands: (approximate)

Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time

Willingness to work overtime on short notice

Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred
-
1-3 years of electro-mechanical and cable harness experience
