Position Overview
The Senior Magento Developer will be responsible for developing high quality solutions for public facing ecommerce website aligning with the business needs. You will help architect solutions that are secure, scalable and high performing in close collaboration with other development teams. As a senior engineer, you will continuously seek improvements and bring new ideas to the table that will ultimately contribute to growth in business.
Key Accountabilities:
● Lead roadmap/sprint planning, code reviews, new e-commerce implementations, integrations, and other large projects.
● Maintain and enhance existing ecommerce websites by following the best design and coding practices.
● Balance multiple development projects and working with cross functional teams through all phases of development.
● Perform the analysis, design and development of integrating web applications and the content management system.
● You must have a solid understanding of overall web site architecture, front end development, back end development and how to tune them for performance and availability.
Required Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent industry experience.
● A minimum of 5 years experience working in a Magento 2.3 or higher e-commerce environment.
● Understanding of Magento’s code structure, extension architecture, theme hierarchy and fallback components.
● In depth knowledge in e-commerce and areas in payments, tax, authentication, pricing, stock, parcel, LMD and subscriptions
● In depth knowledge in B2C and understanding of lower systems such as ERP, WMS, TMS.
● Experience working on B2B commerce and deep knowledge of intricacies of B2B commerce.
● Experience in MQ with legacy systems.
● Experience with JavaScript and using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, and MySQL
● Experience building custom Magento modules and extending the functionality of Magento to deliver customized features.
● Experience with Magento headless API's (REST, GraphQL) .
● Experience integrating with third-party API's and web services.
● Experience with AWS (EC2, S3, ELB).
● Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and management.
● Strong understanding of database concepts and working knowledge of MySQL/Maria DB
● Experience establishing CI/CD process and other DevOps best practices
● Strong problem-solving skills and a sense of urgency.
● Experience in working within an Agile/SCRUM development model
Preferred Qualifications:
● Experience in working with multi-site global teams
● Experience working with Application Performance Monitoring & Management tools such as New Relic.
● Experience with JS frameworks (React JS).
● Experience in MACH architecture.
