    HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT

    • Assemble and inspect the production of automotive lighting products, reinspecting work as needed.
    • Troubleshoot production lines, assist mechanics in processing and assembly of automotive lighting products to ensure departmental safety, quality, and scrap goals are met.
    • Set-up production areas and coordinate production and assembly activities with injection molding equipment.
    • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of Quality/Performance metrics.
    • Communicate problem and improvement opportunities throughout the organization.
    • Back-up mechanic with above average mechanical skills with injection molding equipment and problem-solving ability.
    • Track scrap and productivity continuously and keep productivity boards up to date.
    • Follow KanBan procedures and enforce inventory levels and participate in inventory counting.
    • Assist in scheduling both manufacturing and assembly processes ensuring production lines run efficiently.
    • Generally, this type of position involves some physical requirements involving lifting, reaching, bending, stooping, and use of hand tools and other mechanical equipment.
    • Promote safety in their work area(s).
    • Observes mechanical devices on production lines to diagnose potential or recurring problems based on visual or sound indicators.
    • Disassembles or adjusts portion of equipment with hand tools or power tools to effect correction of problems due to equipment.
    • Using IATF16949 and ISO14001 discipline’s, ensures product conforms to established production specifications.

    YOUR KEY ATTRIBUTES

    • You have a High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent).
    • Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in injection molding.
    • Have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in maintenance jobs.
    • Excellent communication skills, be highly motivated and effectively use interpersonal skills.
    • Basic PC software knowledge is preferred.
    • Ability to read and comprehend written and oral instructions, correspondence and memorandums.
    • Ability to write simple clear correspondence.
    • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to team members, customers, and other employees of the company.
    • Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide in all units using whole number, common fractions, and decimals.
    • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret SPC graphs and bar charts.
