    The Application Design Engineer is focused on the data center domain. The position creates a strategy for design-in of Murata's products within the target application. The Application Design Engineer is responsible for project management of the strategy with the internal stakeholders.

    What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
    • Provide market research and forecast creation for Server and Network Switches in the data center domain.
    • Take the lead in project management to assist Sales and Business Development in securing design wins.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders including Product Engineering, Business Development and Sales and Customers to drive the integration of Murata products into customer application.
    • Dive deep into motherboard/PCB to incorporate Murata products into reference design.
    • Bridge the gap between Murata and Customers by understanding the market and technical application requirements.
    • Develop application-based collateral.
    • Provide application training to internal stakeholders.
    • Effective collaboration in a global/matrix environment.
    • Coordinate with internal DX resources on the publication and promotion of technical marketing content.
    What Is Required (Qualifications)
    • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
    • 7 years' experience in PCB design on data center networking products.
    • Well-developed facilitation skills to work among individuals from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
    • Self-motivated individual who can work through a problem from start to finish.
    • Ability to coordinate cross-functionally with internal groups such as Sales, Business Development, and Product Engineers.
    How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
    • Bachelor's degree in marketing (data center products).
    • Experience in system design in Data Center domains.
    • Knowledge of electrical components.
    • Experience as a Component Engineer for electrical products.
    • Capability to analyze data sheet parameters and evaluate suitability for specific applications.
    • Knowledge of high-speed networks such as 100G/200G/400G Ethernet or InfiniBand.
    Travel
    • Frequent local, domestic, and infrequent international travel.
