DirecTec LLC is a locally owned, customer-centric, security solutions business in Somerset County, PA that services 10 surrounding counties. What is "security solutions"? It is a mix between an Information Technology company and an Electrical Contractor. We are innovative and utilize the latest product technologies in CCTV, access control, fire alarms, and other cabling/networking services.

We are seeking a motivated Technician with mechanical experience and willingness to learn electronics systems . We provide on the job training and will pay for third party training for motivated team members. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, programming, repairing, and maintaining fire alarm and security systems in commercial buildings.

Responsibilities:

• Install and maintain fire alarm and security systems with assistance of other technicians and managers, including pulling wire, bending conduit, and installing devices.
• Learn to troubleshoot and resolve issues with fire alarm and security systems.
• Learn to conduct system testing to ensure proper functioning and compliance with regulations.
• Provide technical support to customers and staff.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with new technologies and industry standards
• Keep work area neat, organized, and in good working order.
• Travel to sites within a 90 mile radius.
• Work four 10-hour days with occasional overtime. (3 day weekends are typical)
• Work on a variety of prevailing wage jobs with increased pay.

Requirements:

• 1 year of work experience in the electronics field
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems and circuits
• Basic ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Willing to study and sit for Nicet certifications
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Drivers license, ability to pass drug testing, and obtain school clearances

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
