Essential Functions:
- Repairing and Maintaining Mechanical Equipment — Servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of mechanical (not electronic) principles.
- Repairing and Maintaining Electronic Equipment — Servicing, repairing, calibrating, regulating, fine-tuning, or testing machines, devices, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of electrical or electronic (not mechanical) principles.
- Communication - Making Decisions and Solving Problems — Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems. Interact with customers, GC’s and / or business owners – exchange information in a professional manner. Work well under pressure, with ability to comfort disgruntled customers, etc as needed.
- Performing General Physical Activities — Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
- Handling and Moving Objects — Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things.

Service Technician / Mechanic:
Position Qualifications:
- Good physical conditions (fit for duty) - able to lift, climb, bend, reach, walk, stand, stoop coupled with fine manipulation.
- Mechanical aptitude – able to travel as needed
- On call rotation – schedule provided (after hours as needed). Must be available, fit for duty at all times.
- Hold Mechanics credentials – Minimum 5 years in the trade with elevator license (ability to obtain within 6 months of hire).
- Successful completion of 4 year apprenticeship program preferred
Skills & Abilities:
Education: A High School Diploma, or equivalent, College level courses associated with electronics, physics, and mathematics may be helpful due to the complexity of elevators.
Experience: Elevator License required (able to obtain / transfer records upon hire / probationary period). Requires Strong mechanical / electrical
Physical Demands:
* Elevator installers (new construction / MOD) may lift and carry heavy equipment and parts, and may work in cramped spaces or awkward positions. Potential hazards include falls, electrical shock, muscle strains, and other injuries related to handling heavy equipment.
