Elevator Inspector inspects, adjusts, and maintains installed freight and passenger elevators and escalators to meet specifications and safety codes. May recommend repairs. Being an Elevator Inspector requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. May be required to be certified in an area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Additionally, Elevator Inspector is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. What you’ll need to get started:
· 2 years experience in manufacturing
· Must be able to read blueprints, measuring tapes, and perform arithmetic
· Ability to perform detailed fabrication and assembly
· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
· Ability to use a variety of tools and equipment from hand tools to CNC machinery
· Willingness to learn and assist in multiple areas of manufacturing
· Analytical and problem-solving skills
· Forklift experience
What you’ll be doing:
· Reading and following blueprints
· Fabricating and constructing elevator components according to specifications
· Assisting with manufacturing and assembly from wood cab interiors to heavy steel structural products
· Learning and contributing to a high-performing and talented team
