Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced maintenance person to join our team. You will be working at multiple Grain Elevator locations within the Rock, Walworth County and state line area, you will be responsible preventive maintenance and repairs as needed, or diagnosing issues as well as keeping records. This is a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of our facility.
Responsibilities:
- Operate grain handling equipment such as conveyors, augers, and elevators
- Maintain and service grain legs, conveyors, augers, bin sweeps.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Maintain accurate records of service and preventive maintenance
- Operate heavy equipment such as skid steers, loaders, semi trucks
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following experience and skills:
- Previous experience working in a grain elevator or similar agricultural setting
- Knowledge of grain handling procedures and safety regulations
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as skid steers, loaders, and semi trucks
- Familiarity with food production processes and quality control standards
- CDL driving experience is a plus put not required
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and make repairs
- Ability to fabricate and weld
- Basic electrical experience is preferred but not required
