Elevator Inspector inspects, adjusts, and maintains installed freight and passenger elevators and escalators to meet specifications and safety codes. May recommend repairs. Being an Elevator Inspector requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. May be required to be certified in an area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Additionally, Elevator Inspector is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Summary of the Position: Inspector’s ensure that the guestrooms are cleaned and sanitized meeting the standards of cleanliness; and ready for guest accommodations while complying with safety standards / security procedures. This position is responsible for inspecting the Housekeepers’ work daily ensuring guest rooms are ready for occupancy while meeting guest expectations and brand standards. Assist with other duties in the Houseperson and Housekeepers duties and, on occasion, assist with light-duty maintenance work.
