Elevator Installer/Repairer installs, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains freight and passenger elevators and escalators. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Being an Elevator Installer/Repairer may be required to be certified in an area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Elevator Installer/Repairer relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Responsibilities Include: Performing Maintenance of Passenger Elevators, Vertical/Incline Platform Lifts, as well as Stair Lifts and Other Various Mobility Equipment
Ability to Communicate Effectively (Written and Verbally)
Ability to Interact Professionally with Other Staff, Customers, and Vendors
Ability to Honestly and Openly Communicate any Mistakes or Mishaps Made
Knowledge of Electrical Components, Such as Controllers and Circuit Boards
Read and Interpret Architectural and Electrical Drawings
Ability to Diagnose Mechanical and Electrical Problems
All Around Mechanical Skills Required
Must be Able to Lift Parts or Equipment up to 75 lbs
