JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Billing Manager is responsible for managing billing operations for the entire 3Phase Organization. This position will interact with both internal employees from all departments as well as external vendors/customers. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working cross-functionally as a team as well as independently. The ability to work under tight deadlines and a strong accounting acumen are necessary.
Essential Job Functions
· Managing Billing for the entire 3Phase organization (currently 17 Offices) and all Service Lines.
· Lead / support efforts to create a standardized Billing process for each service line that will support the entire organization.
· Work with Vice President of Shared Services to build a team to centralize Billing operations as part of a Corporate Shared Services organization. Including assessment of required staffing levels. Previous experience required.
· Supervise, train and develop team members (8-15). Great at managing people and developing teams.
· Work with customers and Collections team to identify opportunities to improve the Customer Billing process and eliminate errors which contribute to slow payment.
· Work with District Managers to streamline work order close-out and review process to speed Billing operations and ensure completeness and accuracy of customer invoices.
· Set and monitor productivity targets for Team members.
· Work with Team to transition customers to electronic invoicing and ACH payments (current process has a high proportion of printed invoices and check receipts).
· Support efforts to improve cash application process and resolve discrepancies, especially open customer credit balances.
· Support Customer and Contract data validation and maintenance efforts.
· Lead Billing integration efforts on future acquisitions.
· Quickbooks online and desktop preferred. A systems and/or integration background would be beneficial. STRONG Excel skills.
· Minimum 5 years leading shared service billing and/or collection functions, creating productivity reporting and/or implementing add-on software solutions to drive efficiency and accuracy.
· Education: Accounting/Finance or Business Degree preferred but not required.
