JOB SUMMARY:
Manage the efficient and profitable operation of the Parts department locations within the Truck Division through customer and employee satisfaction, financial performance, Inventory control, and OEM and Ohio Peterbilt performance standards.
Monitor, Coordinate, and evaluate Truck Group's Parts Management team through the Parts Operations Manager, Parts Sales Manager, Parts Purchasing Manager, and their respective teams delegating tasks and accountabilities.
Forecast Goals and objectives for the Truck Group Parts Departments and strive to meet them.
Hires, trains, motivates and monitors the performance of the Parts Department Managers.
Prepares and administers the annual operating budget for the entire Truck Group Parts Department locations.
Attends and participates in monthly KPI meetings with VP and Corp. Support Services while holding monthly Parts meetings with the Truck Group Parts Management team.
Assist in overall Growth strategy and direct new business segment projects and locations.
Monitors the financial performance, OEM standards, safety rating, and employee and customer satisfaction of the Truck Group Parts department locations and uses these to maximize financial goals, growth, and inventory control.
Maintains reporting systems required by VP, Corp. Support Services, and the OEMs.
Fosters professional employee development and coordinates with Parts managers to determine employee training needs.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree preferred or 10 years Heavy Duty Truck Parts management experience and a good knowledge and understanding of the Peterbilt and Karmak business systems. Strengths in business administration; deep understanding of the administrative aspects of sales, parts, and service; ongoing commitment to administrative accuracy, efficiency, and value-added. Knowledge of and familiarity with dealer/manufacturer relations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to conduct efficient and effective meetings.
Willing to travel (50%) throughout Ohio Peterbilt’s territory regularly as well as outside of the territory to attend manufacturer and/or association meetings. Highly motivated, have a positive attitude, be customer oriented, and be willing to function in a team environment. Strong planning and problem-solving skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
