Emergency Dispatcher is responsible for responding to calls for emergency and non-emergency assistance and dispatching law enforcement, fire fighting, or rescue units. Transmits and receives coded and conventional messages. Being an Emergency Dispatcher differentiates between routine, priority, and emergency messages, and initiates or follows through on responses as required. Communicates details of situation and location. Additionally, Emergency Dispatcher enters unit response details into a database. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Emergency Dispatcher works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures
• Complete all relevant company web-based training
• Manage and coordinate staff activities, including training, employee development, performance evaluations, hiring decisions and establishing goals and performance objectives for assigned departments.
• Provide continual evaluation of department processes, methods, and activities to ensure the most effective use of resources and equipment.
• Participate in action plans for new projects as defined by management.
• Manage and assist with tool reports such as tools out, down, dirty, and shipped.
• Coordinate tool requirements with shop supervisors, managers, and sales teams.
• Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Responsible for keeping all incoming and outgoing racks organized and ensuring tools are on the proper racks.
• All other duties as assigned by management.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 2 Years of dispatch experience preferred
• Sufficient training and experience to be thoroughly familiar with the operational characteristics of company products preferred
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Adheres to all HSE and QMS requirements.
• Working hours to be identified by manager.
• Lifting up to 50 lbs is required.
• Able to manage various personalities.
• Must be able to work in factory environment which may include but are not limited to: high noise level, vibration, fumes, dust, and odors.
• Working conditions may be inside and outside with extreme temperature.
