DTH dispatcher facilitates the scheduling of product to and when necessary from Driscoll TopHay to domestic buyers. In doing so, coordinates the safe, effective, and efficient delivery of product purchased working closely with Driscoll Transportation, contracted growers, vendors, customers, hay purchasers, supply chain managers, marketing, operations, and outside trucking companies to ensures Driscoll Top Hay meets its production needs.
Assists in inventory control of company assets, and performs other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
· In-depth knowledge of transportation logistics.
· Understanding customer needs and requirements.
· Maintains a professional demeanor in all interactions.
· Data entry into various software programs.
· Schedule and coordinate shipments.
· Any other backup and support jobs assigned by the management.
· Identify the most cost-effective delivery options with customers.
· Identify and instruct drivers on the most efficient routes.
· Track documentation of haystack locations, quality testing, general appearance, and moisture.
· Understand Run Scheduling, coordinate with Sales, Marketing, supply chain and transportation for sale of hay that is identified, sold and to be delivered to local market.
Skills:
· Have effective verbal and written skills, as well as math computation and analytical capabilities.
· Ability to strategically think, program development, and possess management skills.
· Must have excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to work cross-functionally and build effective collaborations.
· Ability to carry out work independently.
