Emergency Dispatcher is responsible for responding to calls for emergency and non-emergency assistance and dispatching law enforcement, fire fighting, or rescue units. Transmits and receives coded and conventional messages. Being an Emergency Dispatcher differentiates between routine, priority, and emergency messages, and initiates or follows through on responses as required. Communicates details of situation and location. Additionally, Emergency Dispatcher enters unit response details into a database. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Emergency Dispatcher works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Summary:
Performs patient care under the direction of a registered nurse. Greets, assists, and directs patients and visitors and monitors activity to establish a friendly caring environment. Provides care for patients according to the standards of care specific to age and the individual's needs. May collect blood samples and process specimens. Maintains a safe, clean, and well-equipped environment.
Qualifications:
Education
High School Diploma, GED or related vocational training is required.
Experience
1 year healthcare experience is preferred.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
Basic Life Support (BLS) is required within 30 days upon hire.
EMT (Emergency Medical Technician), CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant), or PCT (Patient Care Technician) certification is preferred.
