Duties:
- Respond to non-emergency calls, emergency calls, as well as public events and provide medical assistance to patients in various settings, including homes, public areas, facilities, doctor's offices, and hospitals.
- Assess patients' conditions and administer appropriate medical treatments and interventions.
- Transport patients safely to and from medical facilities, ensuring their comfort and well-being during the journey.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, relay patient information, and follow medical protocols.
- Perform basic life support techniques, such as CPR and first aid, as needed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
- Clean and restock medical supplies and equipment after each call.
Requirements:
- Valid & current South Carolina certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and BLS for Healthcare Provider card.
- Strong knowledge of South Carolina emergency medical procedures and protocols.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions in high-stress situations.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, their families, and healthcare professionals.
