Emergency Medical Technician jobs in Billings, MT

HOURS: Full-time, 40-hour varying schedule with on-call. Some holidays and weekends required.

REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma or equivalent. Current Montana State EMT-B certification. Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license CPR (required). Minimum of six months of EMT experience in an ALS or BLS service preferred.

DUTIES: Applicant is responsible and accountable to assist and respond in the delivery of optimal care to the ill or injured patient in the pre-hospital environment. The ground ambulance EMT is responsible for assisting in the delivery of care and performing skill and/or procedures accountable to standing orders, written protocols, standard medical operating procedures, Montana Board of Medical Examiner, Department specific, Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital standards and protocols, or direct medical direction communicated through direct orders in person, by radio, cell phone or telephone to their licensed scope of practice. Responsible for carrying out the mission and goals of FMDH and STAT Ambulance Services, assuring that safety remains the highest priority throughout the pre-hospital and transport continuum.
