Emergency Medical Technician responds to emergency calls for medical assistance, assesses the situation, obtains a basic medical history and physical examination of the patient, and provides emergency care at the scene and during transit to the hospital. Utilizes necessary medical equipment to treat the patient and ascertains the extent of their injuries or illness. Being an Emergency Medical Technician communicates with the medical care facility receiving the patient about the patient's condition, status, and arrival time. May require registry in NREMT. Additionally, Emergency Medical Technician requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Requires Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - Basic. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Emergency Medical Technician works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. We are seeking a physician assistant (PA) or nurse practitioner (NP) to join our team in the emergency department (ED) at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio.

    Previous experience as a nurse practitioner (NP) or physician assistant (PA) in an emergency department (ED) or urgent care setting is preferred but not required. APC candidates will be required to have current ACLS and BLS certifications. Adena Regional Medical Center is a 48,000 volume emergency department, offering 8-hour and 12-hour shifts. Shift times are from 6:30am-6:30pm, 2:00pm-10:00pm and 6:30pm-6:30am. Clinicians must be available for all shifts, to include 2 full weekends a month. ATLS certification is not required but is a plus.
