Emergency Medical Technician jobs in Great Falls, MT
Emergency Medical Technician responds to emergency calls for medical assistance, assesses the situation, obtains a basic medical history and physical examination of the patient, and provides emergency care at the scene and during transit to the hospital. Utilizes necessary medical equipment to treat the patient and ascertains the extent of their injuries or illness. Being an Emergency Medical Technician communicates with the medical care facility receiving the patient about the patient's condition, status, and arrival time. May require registry in NREMT. Additionally, Emergency Medical Technician requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Requires Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - Basic. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Emergency Medical Technician works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Fast paced emergency veterinary hospital is looking for a enthusiastic team player to add to our overnight staff. Overnight staff are paid $5/hr overnight differential (rate of $30/hr includes $5 differential). Duties include various veterinary technician duties such as handling dogs and cats that may be under duress, nursing duties, anesthetic monitoring and surgical assistant. Requirements: top notch people and customer service skills, respect but not fear of potentially fractious animals, attention to detail and cleanliness, ability to learn and master veterinary software programs. The clinic is open 365 days a year. Holidays are paid at 1 1/2 times regular hourly wage. Pay for this position starts at $25/hr plus $5/hr differential and may be negotiable based on experience.
Must be a certified veterinary technician capable and confident in surgical assisting.
