Emergency Medical Technician responds to emergency calls for medical assistance, assesses the situation, obtains a basic medical history and physical examination of the patient, and provides emergency care at the scene and during transit to the hospital. Utilizes necessary medical equipment to treat the patient and ascertains the extent of their injuries or illness. Being an Emergency Medical Technician communicates with the medical care facility receiving the patient about the patient's condition, status, and arrival time. May require registry in NREMT. Additionally, Emergency Medical Technician requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Requires Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - Basic. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Emergency Medical Technician works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Canobie Lake Park is gearing up for its 2024 season and is looking to fill roles on our EMS team. We have a fully state-licensed, non-transport EMS unit. We operate at the EMT level.
Canobie EMS is a great place for new EMTs to get some experience and patient contact, or a place for experienced EMTs to get a change of pace and different environment. You cna can some unique experience here that can't be found in many other places.
EMTs are responsible for treating guests and team members for health problems and injuries. We handle a wide variety of calls for service ranging from routine bumps and bruises to more serious calls such as cardiac arrest. They respond to emergencies and render aid following established training and protocols. They complete and submit required reports concisely and on time to the appropriate personnel following patient interactions.
Requirements/Licensures:
Hours starting Mid-April. Flexible scheduling, open availability preferred. Job is seasonal starting April 2024 through October 2024.
