Emergency Medical Technician jobs in Mobile, AL

Emergency Medical Technician responds to emergency calls for medical assistance, assesses the situation, obtains a basic medical history and physical examination of the patient, and provides emergency care at the scene and during transit to the hospital. Utilizes necessary medical equipment to treat the patient and ascertains the extent of their injuries or illness. Being an Emergency Medical Technician communicates with the medical care facility receiving the patient about the patient's condition, status, and arrival time. May require registry in NREMT. Additionally, Emergency Medical Technician requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Requires Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - Basic. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Emergency Medical Technician works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline.     Required:
    • One year experience in Emergency Medical Care, as an EMT is preferred.
    • State of Alabama Driver’s License
    • State of Alabama EMT Certification

    As an Emergency Medical Technician for PK Safety, you will provide patient care in accordance with Alabama office of EMS regulations and PK Safety EMS protocols. EMT’s will work under the direct supervision of a full-time Paramedic to provide emergency care in accordance with protocol.

    Schedule:
    12-hour day or night shifts, with rotating schedule and every other weekend off.
