Emergency Medical Technician jobs in Rapid City, SD

Emergency Medical Technician responds to emergency calls for medical assistance, assesses the situation, obtains a basic medical history and physical examination of the patient, and provides emergency care at the scene and during transit to the hospital. Utilizes necessary medical equipment to treat the patient and ascertains the extent of their injuries or illness. Being an Emergency Medical Technician communicates with the medical care facility receiving the patient about the patient's condition, status, and arrival time. May require registry in NREMT. Additionally, Emergency Medical Technician requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Requires Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - Basic. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Emergency Medical Technician works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline.     • Providing Medic Services through the greater Pine Ridge region.

    Items Needed for Consideration as an EMT A/B:
    • Resume.
    • 2-3 professional references with names, numbers, titles, and emails.
    • EMT Certification, Nationally Recognized.
    • Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS.
    • Immunizations (if you want to get a headstart).
    • Prophecy CORE 1 & 2 and EMS Skills Checklist (I will have to send this to you once we are good to proceed).
