Emergency Medical Technician responds to emergency calls for medical assistance, assesses the situation, obtains a basic medical history and physical examination of the patient, and provides emergency care at the scene and during transit to the hospital. Utilizes necessary medical equipment to treat the patient and ascertains the extent of their injuries or illness. Being an Emergency Medical Technician communicates with the medical care facility receiving the patient about the patient's condition, status, and arrival time. May require registry in NREMT. Additionally, Emergency Medical Technician requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Requires Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - Basic. We are looking for DEPENDABLE full-time and part-time Non-Emergency Medical Transportation drivers.
Duties:
- Safely operate a transportation van
- Transport passengers to designated locations in a timely manner
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Maintain cleanliness and perform routine inspections of the vehicle
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking as needed
- Communicate effectively with passengers and address any concerns or questions
- Follow designated routes or schedules as provided by dispatch app
- Ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers during transportation
- Handle any necessary paperwork or documentation related to the transport
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record -Able to pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening
- Previous experience in medical transportation, shuttle driving, paratransit, school bus driving, delivery driver, or similar roles is preferred
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with diverse individuals
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions effectively
- Flexibility in working hours and willingness to work weekends or evenings as needed
