Rock Emergency Services is the largest independently owned and operated restoration company in the area. We provide immediate emergency assistance to help restore properties after fires, floods, and other catastrophes.
We remove water and dry out buildings after floods.
We remove fire damage and smoke odor.
We provide emergency board-up services after fires and windstorms.
We remediate mold and clean up other hazards.
Some of our techs travel annually for large storm events like hurricanes (this includes substantial bonus pay for travel). We also travel locally sporadically (usually for just one or two nights) when we have larger jobs in western New York that are outside of Rochester (this happens only a handful of times per year).
Though we do a lot of residential work, our specialty is handling large commercial losses. Our inventory of heavy commercial equipment like trailer mounted desiccant dehumidifiers, generators, lifts, telehandlers, etc. allows us to tackle larger jobs than most other restoration companies in the area. This is a great opportunity for a restoration technician looking to get familiar with the big equipment that they might otherwise rarely see.

Rock Company Culture:
The job is different every day. One day you might be driving out to a beautiful multimillion dollar house in Buffalo for a minor water loss and the next you might be in Rochester for a sewage loss at a hoarder house. There is a ton of variety in the locations and types of jobs that you will see. If you're a person who hates just doing the same thing every day, this is for you.
Our techs also sign up for occasional on-call shifts to respond to emergency service calls after hours. This includes an afterhours call-out bonus as well as overtime pay. Our techs typically work from 8am-4:30pm and average 40 hours every week depending on their availability and other obligations. Everyone chips in to make sure that the work gets done and our customers are happy.
For many of our customers, we are seeing them on some of the worst days of their lives after tragedies like fires or major floods. We help to walk them through the restoration process and work to make things as smooth and stress free as possible. We take great pride in what we do and have customers calling the shop almost every day to praise the quality of the service that our technicians provide.
We're willing to pay competitively for experienced and reliable technicians but are also willing to train and certify motivated candidates. Some of our best employees came from other fields but showed up eager to learn a new trade and do whatever it takes to get the job done and leave the customer satisfied.
We prefer to promote from within. There is opportunity for growth and advancement within the company based on skill and performance. We are always striving to take the company to the next level.
Certifications/Licenses:
IICRC certifications, mold licenses, and OSHA 10 certification are preferred but not required to start. After 90 days, for the right candidates we will arrange and pay for training and certifications.
A valid driver's license is necessary as the job requires driving company vehicles.
