Emergency Medical Technician responds to emergency calls for medical assistance, assesses the situation, obtains a basic medical history and physical examination of the patient, and provides emergency care at the scene and during transit to the hospital. Utilizes necessary medical equipment to treat the patient and ascertains the extent of their injuries or illness. Being an Emergency Medical Technician communicates with the medical care facility receiving the patient about the patient's condition, status, and arrival time. May require registry in NREMT. Additionally, Emergency Medical Technician requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Requires Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - Basic. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Emergency Medical Technician works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline.     EMT, Transport Division - Full-Time

    Reports to: Operations Manager, Transports Team Lead

    Compensation:

    • Starting at $45,000/year - increases with experience and credentials
    • Total Rewards package including uniform allowance, wellness allowance (for gym memberships, parks passes, gear, etc.), and insurance options.

    Perform duties associated with basic medical and first aid services and emergency medical care to the sick and injured in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations and EMS Unlimited policies in the setting of IFT ambulance and transport operations.

    • This is an IFT environment, a high degree of critical thinking and desire for professional development plus exceptional clinical decision making is required. 
    • Maintaining and encouraging EMS Unlimited values in yourself and your coworkers;
    • Responding to emergency and non-emergency requests calmly, efficiently and promptly;
    • With compassion and professionalism, administering basic clinical care in accordance with company doctrines, federal, state, and local laws, regulations and standards; 
    • Conducting medical equipment inventory. 
    • Cleaning, organizing and restocking supplies in a ready condition after each use;

    Must possess: Valid CPR, Kansas EMT License, and valid drivers license.
