Emergency Medical Technician responds to emergency calls for medical assistance, assesses the situation, obtains a basic medical history and physical examination of the patient, and provides emergency care at the scene and during transit to the hospital. Utilizes necessary medical equipment to treat the patient and ascertains the extent of their injuries or illness. Being an Emergency Medical Technician communicates with the medical care facility receiving the patient about the patient's condition, status, and arrival time. May require registry in NREMT. Additionally, Emergency Medical Technician requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Requires Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - Basic. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Emergency Medical Technician works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Seeking a full time EMT, A-EMT or Paramedic to join our team. Full-time position is two 24-hours shifts per week, with the option for overtime.
Administers basic and advanced life support to sick and injured persons in a pre-hospital setting as directed by physician. Assesses nature and extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures to be followed or need for additional assistance. Transports sick and injured persons to treatment center, may oversee a team of emergency medical technicians. Must be state certified.
