    About the Role:

    The Assistant Director reports to and supports the Center Director of the Franklin Outpatient Clinic. The Assistant Director delivers direct services to clients, and may provide individual, group, family, or other authorized therapy services within our outpatient center; participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning; and ensures that any treatments delivered are within the scope of the therapist’s training, experience and general level of competence. This position will be a 50/50 split of clinical & administrative duties.

    Essential Responsibilities:
    • Provides direct supervision to clinicians who have not yet attained independent licensure
    • Responds to requests from the Center Director or Business Manager to manage clinical crises
    • Performs Utilization Review at the direction of the Center Director or Business Manager
    • Assesses client’s or family’s needs and eligibility for services
    • Provides individual, group and family therapy in accordance with assigned client needs
    • Provides therapy to clients in accordance with applicable credentials
    • Provides clinical intervention with persons diagnosed with a mental health and/or substance abuse disorder
    • Participates in planning treatment programs, dispositional and discharge plans
    • Maintains family contact regarding client adjustments
    • Participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning
    • Develops and maintains client case records, notes, plans and reports
    • Accepts supervision and attends regularly-scheduled team or supervision meetings
    • Requires minimal supervision regarding use of time and ability to prioritize work assignments
    • Ability to communicate effectively with professionals and clients/families
    • Ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations or with unpredictable or violent clients
    • Ability to make accurate assessments and provide appropriate treatment
    • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships within the agency, community and referral sources
    Leadership Expectations:
    • Fosters staff development and growth of team
    • Provides regular coaching and feedback to employees to motivate performance
    • Completes performance evaluations providing thorough feedback and goals to assigned staff by established deadlines
    • Coordinates and provides day-to-day oversight to staff; actively involved in resolving employee matters/issues
    • Maintains open communication through regular rounding and one to one meetings with employees
    • Ensures staff comply with assigned education requirement in a timely manner (i.e., CIA Training, HIPAA training, competencies, etc.)
    • Responsible for holding staff accountable with upholding facility policies/procedures and managing the corrective action process when needed
    • Actively participates and champions the facility’s Service Excellence and Recognition Programs
    • Develops team building initiatives to engage staff and build a positive team dynamic
    • Actively participates in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding for all staff within the team

    Qualifications:
    • Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling or related program from an accredited college or University
    • Must have a LMHC or LICSW; 3 years post licensure required
    • Two to three years of experience working in community health preferred
    • Candidate must possess appropriate citizenship work documentation
    • Candidate must pass a CORI and drug test, as well as other pre-employment documentation
    • Candidate must provide proof of Covid-19 Vaccination Card or appropriate religious / medical exemption. Card must possess at least either two Moderna Vaccinations, two Pfizer vaccinations, or a J&J vaccination with an additional Moderna/Pfizer vaccination
