An excellent career opportunity is immediately available in a Southern California Medical Center is actively seeking an Interim Nurse Director Emergency Services.

The Interim Nurse Director Emergency Services will oversee the daily operations of an extremely busy 30 bed ER, which sees over 50,000 annual patient visits. Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer , the Nurse Director Emergency Services is supported by  2 Nurse Managers, 1 Educator and 1 pre-hospital Liaison Nurse, in total the Director will be responsible for over 100 FTE’s.

The Interim Nurse Director ER will work hand in hand with the Nurse Manager to provide ongoing education and routinely conduct staff evaluations.  The Interim Nurse Director of Emergency Services will ensure the highest quality of care to high acuity patients in need of immediate care.  

The Interim Emergency Nurse Director will collaborate with the Infection control committee as well as the Quality Coordinator to ensure best practices and patient satisfaction.  The Interim Emergency Services Nurse Director will be responsible oversight of the department, budgeting, planning, growth, and will be responsible for adhering to all regulatory requirements.

The Interim Nurse Director of Emergency Services will maintain the 24-hour responsibility of a designated Cardiovascular Receiving Center and Stroke Neurology Receiving Center.  The Trauma Center Director will collaborate with 20 physicians board certified in Emergency Medicine, along with nurse Practitioners, nurses, educators, clinical coordinators and case manager.
