The Emergency Department at SMHC is a 29 treatment bed, Level III ED, providing twenty-four hour emergency care. This community hospital in Biddeford also has a satellite emergency department located in Sanford, ME.
Position Summary
The Nursing Director is the vital link between the mission and vision of SMHC and the delivery of safe patient and family-centered care. The Director is responsible for planning, developing and implementing systems and procedures that will a) ensure a high standard of patient care; b) support and maintain competent and effective personnel; c) promote cost effectiveness; d) maintain a 24-hour nursing care system that best meets the needs of patients and families, and e) exhibit excellent, effective communication skills.
