    A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS:

    This position is responsible for leading the marketing function transformation at VNAHSR, overseeing the shift to a more strategically oriented, high-performing team focused on delivering referral and community relationship objectives through marketing excellence. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Own and lead all internal and external communications, including streamlining messaging to external sources, referral sources, and employees
    • Support marketing and outreach activities by providing strategic expertise and tactical support
    • Oversee creation of agency materials with a common and consistent look and feel that reinforces the VNAHSR brand and allows the public to immediately recognize VNAHSR communication
    • Oversee referral source generation, brand and program strategy and execution, creative, digital customer touchpoints, including web and social media, marketing operations, PR, and outreach
    • Identify key drivers of marketing effectiveness, define appropriate measurements, and manage, monitor, and challenge spending on marketing to deliver the best return on investment
    • Lead the process of identifying and seizing opportunities to engage referral sources and secure VNAHSR as the preferred provider
    • Provide expertise in brand and digital customer experience, creative, thought leadership and referral generation, channel management (social and web / digital), analytics, product marketing, industry-specific marketing technology, and data insights to department team
    • Responsible for day-to-day operational execution and KPIs while identifying new techniques that increase our profile and relationships with referral sources and within the community
    • Collaborate with Leadership Team to articulate and execute the agency growth agenda while working as a strategic partner within the community and industry

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree required. Focus in marketing, communications, or related field preferred.
    • Five to seven years of marketing leadership experience required. Prior experience in health care preferred.
    • Valid State driver's license required. Ability to successfully pass pre-employment adult, child and VCIC background checks required.
