Employee Communications Manager manages the daily operations of the internal communication programs within an organization. Implements and participates in the design of communication programs to support and reinforce organizational objectives and comply with regulations. Being an Employee Communications Manager develops messaging themes and content. Ensures the accuracy of information distributed and standards using quality processes. Additionally, Employee Communications Manager collaborates with public relations or corporate communications teams on projects. Oversees vendors providing support services. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Employee Communications Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Employee Communications Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Description
The Manager, Employee Communications helps to develop internal communications strategies and execute communication activities to advance the company’s business goals and corporate culture. This position will work with the broader Internal Communications team to ensure our global employees feel connected to what is happening at the company and understand the important role they play in shaping our success.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Developing and executing internal communications strategies to support corporate strategy and assist business division heads in driving alignment and achieving results. Proven ability coaching/advising executives on communication efforts.
- Executing global employee communications content strategy through the creation of high-quality written and digital/video content across all channels to promote the company's business and culture initiatives and keep employees informed and engaged. Proven ability to manage a diverse portfolio of communications projects, while being responsive to multiple audiences and stakeholders.
- Support development of the company's employee experience and corporate culture by providing clear and compelling communications
- Measuring the effectiveness of our employee communications program/channels and exploring new channels/formats to engage with employees.
Work Product Samples
Candidate must submit a diverse set of writing samples demonstrating messaging development.
Work Experience
7 years relevant employee communications experience at a multinational company
Education
Bachelor's Degree required
Skills & Software Requirements:
Google Workspace experience preferred.
Proven experience working with company intranets and in different content management systems.
