The Employee Communications Engagement Specialist will deploy communications and engagement strategies throughout human resources and all of SUNY Upstate Medical University. Will work with key stakeholders and functional managers inside and outside of human resources to drive employee engagement enterprise-wide. The Employee Communications Engagement Specialist will use best practices for engaging and training employees on new and upcoming employee communication applications to foster a high performing organizational culture. The incumbent will be able to identify benchmarks related to employee engagement and develop goals to measure success. The Employee Communications Engagement Specialist will develop communication and project plans to spearhead rollouts of high-level employee communication that is both necessary and engaging in a timely manner.
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field and two years of relevant professional experience required. Ability to demonstrate successful communication strategies that can be scaled throughout an organization the size of Upstate.
A familiarity or aptitude with related technologies (employee communication applications, portals, HRIS, LMS, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) preferred. Project planning experience preferred. Master’s degree preferred. Employee training experience preferred.
