Texas Communications is seeking an organized, energetic, hardworking Accountant / Bookkeeper with experience to join the team. The right candidate will have the opportunity to grow into a position with responsibilities that include maintaining internal controls, preparing monthly dealer financial statements, and other required management reports. The position requires the ability to effectively communicate financial information to various levels of management in a timely matter.

Responsibilities – Accountant / Bookkeeper:
-
Enter data into the computer, file records, send and receive email
-
Keep accounts in order for financial transactions by maintaining a chart of accounts, defining bookkeeping policies and procedures.

Prepare monthly account reconciliations
-
Prepare reports and presentations for management
-
Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and forecasts as required
-
Verify data for completeness and accuracy
-
Understanding of internal control concepts and processes to mitigate risks
-
Maintain subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
-
Balance subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries.
-
Taxation requirements in QuickBooks and other forms
-
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements – Accountant / Bookkeeper:
-
QuickBooks Online experience or similar
-
Bookkeeping Experience and/or a Bachelor of Science in Accounting

Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Ability to administer payroll with complete confidentiality
-
Ability to maintain key filing systems
-
Ability to master an industry-specific accounting program (Training Provided)

Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Reliable with experience handling a wide range of administrative and executive support tasks

High School Diploma required, some College Preferred
