  • BEK Communications Plant Technician will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of BEK Outside Plant Infrastructure.

    Job Duties:

    • Requires the installation and maintenance of Outside Plant cabling using digging, drilling, trenching or plowing equipment.
    • Splices Outside Plant cabling and ensures it meets BEK quality standards.
    • Maintains proper use of Rights-of Way.
    • Understands safety on the construction jobsite and adheres tightly to BEK and OSHA safety standards and procedures.
    • Functions as a team player.
    • Willing to work in all types adverse conditions to keep or restore BEK services to its customers.
    • Requires the ability to work overtime as needed
    • Ability to communicate with co-workers, various business contacts, and BEK members/customers in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Performs all other duties assigned by supervisor

    Job Requirements:

    • Must hold a valid ND Class D Driver’s License.
    • CDL license is preferred – must be able to obtain CDL within 3 months of hire
    • Must be able to distinguish difference in color.
    • Must maintain the ability to push, pull, lift or drag a minimum of 75lbs.

    Special Working Conditions

    • This position may involve special working conditions, including:
    • 24x7 group accessibility.
