Employee Development Specialist implements and supports programs aligned with leadership development strategy and strategic business imperatives to develop management capabilities throughout the workforce. Maintains frameworks that represent skills and leadership capabilities that are critical to long-term and short-term objectives. Being a Employee Development Specialist supports training, coaching, professional development, and experiential assignments that make up the leadership development strategy. Fosters a culture of informal knowledge exchange, coaching, and training throughout the organization to engage and develop the workforce. Additionally, Employee Development Specialist promotes training and development programs and career pathing initiatives. Prepares analysis and reporting of leadership development efforts and results. May participate in periodic succession planning exercises and talent assessments to ensure critical roles are defined. Helps to create slates of individuals identified for leadership development activities. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Employee Development Specialist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Position Summary


    The Architectural Drafting Specialist plays a crucial role in the design and construction process by creating detailed technical drawings and plans for architectural projects. This role involves working closely with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure that designs are accurately and effectively translated into construction documents.


    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Create Architectural Drawings: Produce detailed architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details, using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
    • Collaborate with Design Team: Work closely with architects and other team members to understand project requirements and design intent. Make necessary revisions to drawings as per project specifications.
    • Compliance with Building Codes: Ensure that all architectural drawings and plans adhere to local building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards.
    • Quality Control: Review and verify the accuracy of drawings and plans to avoid errors or discrepancies that could impact construction.
    • Documentation Management: Maintain organized and up-to-date project documentation, including drawings, revisions, and design changes.
    • Communication: Collaborate with other stakeholders to address design-related questions, resolve issues, and facilitate a smooth construction process.
    • Stay Informed: Keep up to date with industry trends, CAD software advancements, and new architectural techniques to enhance skills and knowledge.

    Requirements

    • Previous 2 year minimum experience in architectural drafting and using CAD software.
    • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
    • Familiarity with local building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards is necessary.
    • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in creating and reviewing drawings.
    • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, clients, and contractors.
    • Ability to identify and resolve design issues and challenges.
    • Efficient time management skills to meet project deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • A bachelor’s degree or associate degree in architectural technology, drafting, or a related field.

    Physical Demands

    • Lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently and frequently moving small objects.
    • Frequently sitting for long periods of time
    • Walking or standing
    • Must have manual use of hands and vision to use computer constantly
