Employee Development Specialist implements and supports programs aligned with leadership development strategy and strategic business imperatives to develop management capabilities throughout the workforce. Maintains frameworks that represent skills and leadership capabilities that are critical to long-term and short-term objectives. Being a Employee Development Specialist supports training, coaching, professional development, and experiential assignments that make up the leadership development strategy. Fosters a culture of informal knowledge exchange, coaching, and training throughout the organization to engage and develop the workforce. Additionally, Employee Development Specialist promotes training and development programs and career pathing initiatives. Prepares analysis and reporting of leadership development efforts and results. May participate in periodic succession planning exercises and talent assessments to ensure critical roles are defined. Helps to create slates of individuals identified for leadership development activities. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Employee Development Specialist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. The primary purpose of this position is to provide training to all credit union employees and support an environment that allows staff to provide consistent service excellence to members, employees and business associates as outlined in our mission, vision and standards of excellence. This is accomplished by planning and implementing the credit union’s employee education and training programs to support the strategic plan of the credit union.
Other duties include ensuring that the ongoing development of all employees reflects in the service quality offered to members; conducting new employee orientation; training new and current employees in specific job functions, maintaining availability as a resource for employee training and troubleshooting as well as, attends job-related courses and seminars to pursue a program of leadership and self-development; and performing other duties as requested.

Required Qualifications:
12 – 24 months experience in a financial institution environment, specifically in the field(s) of teller, member service, and loans.
Preferred Experience
Previous experience training, teaching, or facilitating meetings of varying audiences.
