We're looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual who can help provide a great dining experience to our members. The right candidate will be an expert in food service, a leader in executing quality restaurant operations and an efficient planner who excels under pressure and can handle multiple tasks simultaneously. We're seeking a person who is able to resolve customer issues, someone who has good leadership skills and knows how to set priorities.
Essential Functions
The Dining Room Manager is responsible for managing and providing service during a la carte dining and banquet events and working with the Food and Beverage Services Director to ensure staffing levels are adequate for shifts and staff is properly trained.
Duties
· Ensure the dining rooms are setup and ready for dining.
· Greet members in the dining area and return at the end of the meal to get feedback about their experience.
· Monitor the dining room/banquet service, checking with staff members, members and guests and addressing any concerns either independently or by involving others and notifying senior leadership of any major issues.
· Facilitate communication between the service staff and the kitchen.
· Handle member complaints about service or food and notify Chef or Food and Beverage Services Director of all complaints.
· Participate in interviews of service staff.
· Train new staff behind the scenes before allowing them to serve members.
· Implement training plan from Food and Beverage Services Director.
· Conduct thorough training of new staff to include written evaluation of understanding of all areas. Evaluate staff for competency to begin serving members and guests.
· Conduct effective retraining of all service staff to include quarterly meetings to evaluate skills, review problem areas, review new menu changes and any other changes.
· Recommend and initiate disciplinary action for staff with Food and Beverage Services Director.
· Participate in annual performance evaluations for staff that you supervise.
· Update POS system with menu and pricing changes.
· Complete Red Book at the end of each shift with staff and food comments, absenteeism, training, cover counts by shift, etc.
· Communicate any problems with printers, tablets or PC’s to software provider or network support as soon as discovered.
· Review and approve server tickets daily. Ensure proper member was charged, payment method is correct, and all cash has been submitted to business office. Make correction in POS system, within one day of ticket date, before tickets are submitted to AR.
· Ensure that all take out tickets are entered daily.
· Post the side work for the F&B Staff Members on duty and ensure the work is completed.
· Ensure that dining areas are clean, organized and stocked for the next shift.
· Conduct monthly beverage inventory, with another manager, in designated areas.
· Assist with banquet events when necessary.
· Attend weekly food and beverage meeting. Work with Food and Beverage Services Director to complete staff schedule at the weekly meeting.
· Perform any additional duties as necessary to ensure that members/guest have a pleasant and enjoyable experience
Other related duties as assigned.
