Employee Health Services Manager is responsible for managing the employee health service functions of the organization. Administers healthcare program operations and supervises subordinate staff. Being an Employee Health Services Manager ensures that all medical records are kept in a manner compliant with appropriate policies and procedures. May be responsible for administering employee physicals, injury related diagnoses, or other types of referrals according to OSHA regulations. Additionally, Employee Health Services Manager may provide consultation regarding workers' compensation, infection control or other employee health related issues. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director or head of a unit/department. Typically requires a registered nurse. The Employee Health Services Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Job Summary and Qualifications

    Our team of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) is dedicated to providing exceptional patient-centered care. Working alongside physicians, they function independently in all aspects of patient care within occupational health clinics and on-site locations. Our APPs include Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists, Clinical Nurse Specialists, and Certified Nurse Midwives. They are valued members of our hospital patient care team, providing a high level of medical care and performing surgical tasks within the scope of practice as determined by the state and clinical privileges granted by the hospital/entity. Our APPs embody our organization's vision, mission, and values to deliver unparalleled patient experiences and clinical outcomes.

    What you will do in this role:

    • You will provide direct patient care under general supervision of the physician
    • You will perform initial health history and physical examinations, and episodic physical examinations
    • You will obtain accurate and thorough medical history to establish appropriate treatment goals that meet patient’s needs and referral sources
    • You will collect and document data, conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as well as order and schedule laboratory studies and professional consolations
    • You will prescribe, initiate, monitor, alter, order or administer pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies within established protocols
    • You will counsel the patient and family on preventative care, medical problems and the use of prescribed treatment to include selective surgical interventions and/or drug therapy

    Requirements:

    • Master’s degree from an approved advanced nurse practitioner program. Nurse Practitioners who graduated on or after October 1, 1998, must have completed requirements for a Master’s degree or post-master’s certification. Applicants who graduated prior to the applicable date are exempted from this requirement
    • Minimum of 1 year experience as a ARNP preferred
    • Current licensure in the state of Florida as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner
    • American Heart Association BLS
    • Critical thinking, service excellent and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills

    HCA Florida Blake Hospital is a 383 bed hospital. We are located in Bradenton, FL. We have a thirteen acre campus by the Gulf Coast beaches. We are the only state-designated Level II trauma center in Manatee, Sarasota and DeSoto Counties. We have received verification by the American College of Surgeons.
