Employee Health Services Manager is responsible for managing the employee health service functions of the organization. Administers healthcare program operations and supervises subordinate staff. Being an Employee Health Services Manager ensures that all medical records are kept in a manner compliant with appropriate policies and procedures. May be responsible for administering employee physicals, injury related diagnoses, or other types of referrals according to OSHA regulations. Additionally, Employee Health Services Manager may provide consultation regarding workers' compensation, infection control or other employee health related issues. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director or head of a unit/department. Typically requires a registered nurse. The Employee Health Services Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Texoma Medical Center, a 414-bed acute care facility has been providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. Our main campus is located in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth area and just south of the Texas/Oklahoma border. In addition, we have numerous facilities in locations throughout the Texoma region. Since 1965, TMC has forged a special relationship with the people of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma. Texoma residents have come to depend on TMC to meet a spectrum of physical, mental and spiritual needs. TMC has responded with unique services to provide the kind of sophisticated, experienced care that was once available only in major metropolitan areas. We offer major specialty services including open heart surgery and neurosurgery. Advanced resources such as certified trauma care support TMC's role as a regional specialty center.

    The basic purpose of nursing is to provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Additionally, nursing will provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times. The Standards of Practice set forth by the professional nursing associations will provide guidelines for the competent, safe and professional practice.

    The Employee Health Nurse will promote health and safety to all employees by facilitating an Employee Health Program which includes disease detection, prevention, and treatment; following up employee illnesses and injuries; conducting employee health screenings; and promoting a safe work environment.

    Qualifications

    Job Requirements:

    • Current Texas nursing license or compact license.
    • Three years full time experience in an acute care setting.
    • BLS required
    • Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
    • Must be able to identify and competently address needs of populations served.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with a wide variety of applicants and customers.
    • Able to work independently and make recommendations to management and base decisions relevant information available.
    • Must be self motivated, and able to handle sensitive and confidential information discreetly.
    • Must be able to identify and competently address needs of populations served.
    • Proficient with computer to include Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel), as well as applicable HRIS systems for managing the LOA processes.
