As the Director of Operations, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our operational processes, ensuring compliance, and delivering unparalleled service excellence. The ideal candidate will possess 7-10 years of extensive experience within the financial planning or related industry, specifically in operational management roles.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across all facets of our organization.
- Oversee day-to-day operational activities, including client onboarding, account maintenance, and administrative functions, ensuring seamless execution and adherence to best practices.
- Manage and mentor a team of operations professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to identify operational inefficiencies and opportunities for enhancement, driving initiatives to streamline processes and elevate service standards.
- Maintain a strong focus on regulatory compliance, staying abreast of industry regulations and implementing robust controls to mitigate risk.
- Monitor key performance indicators and metrics to evaluate operational performance, identify trends, and proactively address areas for optimization.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on operational matters, providing guidance and support to internal teams and addressing operational inquiries and escalations.
- Demonstrate a proven track record of developing and documenting operational procedures for all job functions, ensuring consistency and clarity across the organization.
- Assist in the training and development of new talent for sales and operational roles, promoting process consistency and excellence as we expand.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 7-10 years of progressive experience in operational management roles within the financial planning or related industry.
- Strong understanding of operational processes, procedures, and best practices, with a demonstrated ability to drive process improvement initiatives.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and CRM software (Preferably Salesforce).
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Proven customer service experience within the financial services industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong knowledge of financial planning concepts, investment products, and regulatory compliance.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to think critically in fast-paced environments.
- Proactive and self-motivated mindset, committed to delivering exceptional service.
- Exceptional phone skills, including proactive outbound calls and effective handling of incoming client inquiries.

- M-F 8:30am-4:30pm
- 2 evenings per month for client events
