Being an Employee Health Services Manager ensures that all medical records are kept in a manner compliant with appropriate policies and procedures. May be responsible for administering employee physicals, injury related diagnoses, or other types of referrals according to OSHA regulations. The RN assists with the clinical function of the program(s), including pre-employment processing, occupational health testing, and surveillance.Serves as the subject matter expert for federal, state, and local regulations governing Occupational Health, helping to ensure effective and efficient management of employee care and resolution of claims.
Provides analytical and practical support for day-to-day operations, including pre-employment screenings, annual physicals and immunizations, and Worker's Compensation claims. Ensures program quality assurance through implementation of standards and policies, assessments, and reporting. Stays abreast of enterprise policies regarding pre-employment screenings, drug and TB testing, and annual physicals and vaccines. Stays abreast of Worker's Compensation labor codes, reporting requirements, and all federal, state, and local regulations.Assists employees who have sustained a work related illness or injury, providing necessary forms and coordinating medical evaluation and treatment.
Collaborates with department leaders, Human Resources, the Medical Director, third party claims administrators, and treatment providers to ensure smooth management of work related injuries and illnesses throughout the process.
