Employee Health Services Manager is responsible for managing the employee health service functions of the organization. Administers healthcare program operations and supervises subordinate staff. Being an Employee Health Services Manager ensures that all medical records are kept in a manner compliant with appropriate policies and procedures. May be responsible for administering employee physicals, injury related diagnoses, or other types of referrals according to OSHA regulations. Additionally, Employee Health Services Manager may provide consultation regarding workers' compensation, infection control or other employee health related issues. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director or head of a unit/department. Typically requires a registered nurse. The Account Manager supports enhancing and developing relationships with clients, carriers, coworkers, vendors and industry partners. This position requires an Account Manager who can provide high-level service and develop and articulate innovative strategies to address the unique needs of our clients.

    This position will be based in our Chico, Sacramento, or Woodland office.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    Develops effective client relationships by:

    • Maintaining consistent and continuous communication with assigned clients including HR Managers/Directors as well as CEOs / CFOs.
    • Providing prompt and courteous service and assistance to clients as needed.
    • Meeting or surpassing the customer service expectations of clients in accordance with agency standards and workflows.
    • Providing needed information to and resolving issues for clients.

    Performs or assists with account administration by:

    • Assisting in the development and implementation of clients’ benefits strategies
    • Completing client servicing tasks related to new business set up and applications, renewal applications, and policy research.
    • Maintaining current and accurate customer databases and files.
    • Assisting in account processing, installing new policies, ordering client materials
    • Assisting client in daily administrative issues, enrollments, claim problems
    • Coordinating open enrollment meetings as needed
    • Fulfilling all aspects of open enrollment in partnership with producer
    • Creating pre-renewal and renewal timelines project plans and presentations
    • Marketing new business and renewals.
    • Coordinating with producer on out-of-scope services

    Ensures the accuracy and value of service to clients by:

    • Maintaining competency and knowledge of client data including policy information, significant dates and deadlines, and changes to client records.
    • Escalating client issues or advising the Producer on client issues as appropriate.
    • Participating in seminars and other training to maintain required skill levels and enhance job and industry knowledge.
    • Understanding and explaining all aspects of carrier renewals to assigned clients.
    • Confirming all services are implemented according to established project plans and all client deliverables meet InterWest’s quality standards.
    • Effectively presenting and implementing InterWest’s value added services.
    • Keeps current on changes in legislation impacting employee benefit programs and communicates these to clients

    ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Other duties as assigned.
    • Printing and collating client materials.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS

    Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

    Experience: One to five years’ work experience in the insurance industry or related field.

    Special Requirements: Active Life-Only, Accident and Health Agent license. Manage required annual continuing education and renewal of Life-Only, Accident and Health Agent license.

    Starting compensation for this specific role (all salary decisions are based on experience, skills, education, training, certifications and licenses, and geographical location):

    $47,500 - $65,000

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $47,500.00 - $65,000.00 per year
