Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Employee Performance Specialist work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.     Position Summary: The Customer Engagement Specialist is responsible for driving the implementation, communication and training of customer facing tools and initiatives directly related to the order entry and menu planning processes. This individual is responsible for serving as a liaison between Sales, Marketing and third party resources that will connect customer needs to solutions that differentiate Performance Foodservice. This position will leverage Performance Foodservice's unique technology, the menu planning processes, and promotion of our Loyalty Platforms in the marketplace.

    Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
    • Execute against Performance Foodservice's platform and strategy for operator engagement (Including internal and external customers and utilization of market research).
    • Promote the Performance Foodservice approach to menu planning as a value added service for our customers.
    • Deliver training and communications tools to guide the division approach to menu planning, structuring the role of the Sales Consultant, Business Development Manager and analyst consultant to ensuring scalability and common workflow.
    • Engage local customers and divisions to gain feedback on solutions and support.
    • Work with sales teams to develop customer on-boarding processes and define resource allocation by customer segment.
    • Engage divisions in the rollout of tools and processes via "Train the trainer" toolkits designed to support divisional leads, sales meetings, division training, webcasts and/or food shows.
    • Support Performance Foodservice's loyalty platform and define communications and marketing approaches to drive engagement, gain new customers and enhance customer retention.
    • Other projects or duties as assigned.

    Required Qualifications

    • High School diploma or GED.

    • 3-5 years' experience in foodservice sales or related activity.

    • Excellent project management skills.

    • Must have a valid driver's license.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong presentation skills.

    • Strong attention to detail with good business acumen.

    • Computer Proficiency - Experience in MS Office Products, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Marketing related degree.

    • Foodservice or CPG experience.

    • Background in restaurant operations or street sales.
