The Employee Relations Specialist provides support to department heads and employees to resolve employee relations issues. Will provide coaching and counseling to department heads in the area of employee training, corrective action/performance improvement, terminations, investigations, and employee complaints/grievances. Will serve as a subject matter expert on Human Resources policies, procedures and programs. Will conduct investigations on employee concerns, claims of harassment, hostile work environment, discrimination, retaliation, breach of confidentiality, etc. Will perform special projects as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
Required qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or a related field required. Master's degree preferred.
2. At least two (2) years of Human Resources work experience handling employee relations and workplace investigations required.
3. Knowledge of state and federal employment law.
4. Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and HRIS systems.
5. Must obtain Sexual Harassment certification within 6 months, and then maintain biennially.
6. Ability to travel required.
Preferred qualifications:
1. Human Resources Professional Certification preferred.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $72,550.40 to $85,000.00 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
