Employee Relations Director oversees a company's employee relations programs, policies, and procedures. Designs and develops programs to promote employee satisfaction. Being an Employee Relations Director helps counsel employees on issues related to EEO, ADA, performance, and termination guidelines. Maintains good communication and a positive relationship with employees. Additionally, Employee Relations Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Employee Relations Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.   • Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, stairways, and other related areas of assigned buildings.
    • Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors, using brooms, mopes, and power equipment of assigned buildings.
    • Empty trash containers and transport to central waste disposal for assigned area.
    • Replenish bathroom supplies as needed for assigned areas.
    • Pick up loose debris and trash around streets, parking lots, and buildings.
    • Make recommendations to the Maintenance Supervisor regarding cleaning or safety.
    • Observe safety regulations, uniform code, and all College policies.
    • Assist in special projects during spring and fall breaks.
    • Attend all job related training programs.
    • Attend meetings as required.

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
    • One year related experience, preferred.

    Salary: Compensation is in accordance with the Alabama Community College System’s Salary Schedule E5-06 ($28,271 - $45,419).
