    What we are looking for

    The Employee Relations Specialist will play a crucial role in fostering a positive, inclusive, and productive work environment. This individual will be responsible for managing employee relations issues, implementing HR policies, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations. Working closely with employees and management, the Employee Relations Specialist will address concerns, resolve conflicts, and contribute to the overall well-being and satisfaction of our workforce.

    Responsibilities:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues within the manufacturing and production departments.
    • Investigate and resolve workplace conflicts in a timely and effective manner, ensuring fairness and consistency in all decisions.
    • Provide guidance and counseling to managers and employees on HR policies, employee performance, and conflict resolution strategies.
    • Develop and implement employee relations programs and initiatives to improve work environment, increase employee engagement, and reduce turnover.
    • Conduct exit interviews, analyze data, and make recommendations for improving employee satisfaction and retention.
    • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
    • Facilitate training sessions on topics such as diversity and inclusion, conflict resolution, and workplace ethics.
    • Collaborate with the HR team to develop and update policies and procedures that support a positive work culture.
    • Participate in the development and implementation of employee recognition programs.
    • Maintain confidential records of all employee relations activities and reports.
    • Other responsibilities as assigned.

    Education / Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Labor Relations, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in employee relations or a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing or blue-collar industry.
    • Strong understanding of employment law, labor relations, and best practices in HR.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
    • Proven ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and objectively.
    • Experience in conflict resolution, negotiation, and employee coaching.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and positive attitude.
    • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
