    Job Site: San Juan Bautista, CA and Yuma, AZ

    Relocation: This position is required to relocate to Yuma, AZ for 5 months every year (Mid-November through Mid-April).

    GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Under the direct supervision, this position is responsible for the intake, guidance, and resolution of employee relations related inquiries and concerns regarding policies, procedures, and varied workplace concerns from employees. This position also provides administrative support for the human resources department by performing duties.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Lead employee relations and investigations, ensuring compliance with applicable employment and safety laws.
    • Investigate and attempt to resolve employees' concerns or objections to disciplinary actions.
    • Compile employee summaries in response to various requests and lead employment recommendations based on findings.
    • Issue prompt conclusion and follow-up letters following investigations.
    • Maintain human resource information system records and compile reports from the database as needed.
    • Stay current with legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources, ensuring policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
    • Coordinate and conduct employee and management training.
    • Assist with new employee orientation to foster a positive attitude toward Company goals.
    • Explain company compensation and benefit programs, such as medical, insurance, retirement, and savings plans, and enroll workers in specified programs.
    • Assist in the preparation of employee separation notices and related documentation, conducting exit interviews when appropriate to determine reasons behind separations.
    • Assist with all internal and external HR-related matters.
    • Perform clerical duties including scanning, data entry, filing, e-filing, answering phones, and faxing.

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university and minimum of two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    REQUIRED SKILLED AND QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, excellent time management skills, self-motivated, attention to detail and accuracy, ability to multitask, great organizational skills, excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
    • Able to work in a respectful and professional manner with all levels of employees.
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
    • Work onsite and meet position’s attendance schedule, as required by the job.
    • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
    • Ability to efficiently present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees, clients, and customers of the organization.
    • Excellent time management and communicator skills (written and oral).
    • Self-motivated, reliable and punctual.
    • Must be able to relocate to Yuma during the season. (Mid-November through Mid-April).
    • Knowledge of state and federal laws.
    • Employee relations.
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) Required.
    • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
