Position Summary:
The Employee Relations Coordinator is responsible for providing support to the Employee Relations Supervisor and overall Employee Relations Team. Additionally, the ER Coordinator will process adjudications for Employment Background Checks to include all FCRA Pre-Adverse/Adverse Notices to candidates. Also, the ER Coordinator will partner with the Company’s Unemployment Insurance vendor to ensure timely responses to claims and hearing requests. The ER Coordinator will also work with the State/Federal Compliance Poster vendor to ensure posters are sent to business locations. The ER Coordinator will also respond timely to employment record subpoena requests in partnership with the Legal Department.
Responsibilities:
1. Partners and coordinates with the vendor to process unemployment insurance claims to include coordinating with management to provide the required documentation to protest an unemployment insurance claim. Also, ensures timely processing of invoices as needed.
2. Working with management, coordinates with the vendor to ensure all business locations have the required State and Federal Posters to include processing invoices as needed.
3. Provide guidance to line management and team member on HR policies and procedures. Respond to questions from team members and management in a timely manner.
4. Review employment background checks to determine whether or not adverse action notice will be necessary. If a notice is required, the ER Coordinator will oversee/handle the adverse notice process.
5. Assist with gathering and organizing data pertaining to employee relations complaints filed to include evaluating and generating reports demonstrating types of complaints/cases, volume, and case outcomes.
6. Coordinates the response of employee record request subpoenas.
7. Maintains strict confidentiality of information to include, but not limited to, conversations, documents, files, complaints and investigations.
8. Assists VP of ER by logging litigation matters into CSC system to include requesting legal holds from the legal dept.
9. Other assigned duties as designated by management
Working Relationships:
Regularly interfaces with team members across the organization, department heads, and human resources COE’s and other store support center functional groups.
Minimum Education: High School Diploma with 2 years of equivalent work experience in Human Resources
Preferred Education: Associates Degree in business or other related discipline and 2 years of HR experience
Minimum Experience: 0-2 years of experience in Human Resources or 2 years in a clerical support function role
Preferred Experience: 2 years of experience in Human Resources and/or Employee Relations in a clerical support function role
Soft Skills:
• Experience using all Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point)
• Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Skill in organization, prioritization, and working independently
• Ability to communicate and work with others cooperatively
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work

Travel: N/A
Hours & Conditions: 8:30AM – 5:00PM M-F with flexibility to support other shifts as needed. Hybrid position requires 3 days in office.
