    The CMO network manages core administrative responsibilities, including human resources, finance, information technology, facilities, student recruitment, and marketing for our schools. We serve 3,000 K-8 grade scholars across ten schools and employ over 450 staff members.


    OPPORTUNITY


    The Manager of Employee Relations will be charged with managing support and services for leaders and employees related to employment, employee relations, and leave management. This key position also leads the progressive discipline and corrective action programs while establishing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with key stakeholder groups.


    ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES


    Supports, builds, and maintains positive relationships with employees and leaders to improve employee satisfaction, retention, and productivity

    Leads and facilitates the employee relations program and related functions by developing, recommending, and implementing program objectives, policies, and procedures

    Assists managers and supervisors in understanding and implementing company policies related to performance, discipline, and related topics

    Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues and conducts effective and thorough investigations as needed

    Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance

    Analyzes trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies

    Counsels employees and leaders on employee relations concerns while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and integrity, collaborating with legal counsel as needed

    Handles the ADA process

    Works with Third-Party Administrator on Workers’ Compensation claims

    Assists managers and supervisors in understanding and implementing company policies related to performance, discipline, and related topics

    Performs other related duties as assigned

    Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies

    Thorough understanding of dispute resolution

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact

    professionally with all stakeholder groups

    Strong organizational and follow-through skills

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


    • Bachelor's degree in Employee Relations, Human Resources or related field required.
    • 4 years of professional human resource administration, including two years in employee relations preferred OR equivalent training, education or other experience.
    • SHRM-CP/SCP or HRCI PHR/SPHR strongly preferred
    • Proficient in the knowledge and use of technical computer applications, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Google Suite
